300SD Transmission Leak

Hello everyone,
I tried searching for a similar post without much luck. I have a 1985 300SD that recently started dripping ATF from the torque converter cover. I am assuming it is the metal clad seal for the pump drive, but I won't know until I pull the trans. Since I am new to this particular transmission, I was wondering if there are any pitfalls associated with this repair or any "tricks of the trade" that may be of benefit. Also, I usually install a new pump bushing whenever I replace a front pump seal, however I do not see one listed in the parts secton of the mercedesshop site or in the Transstar catalog. Is this part available or am I barking up the wrong tree? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John Porter
