thing is though....that car was near death, had they not done that to it....it'd have seen the crusher as soon as a major mechanical issue came up...

For a pimped car it doesn't look all that bad....I'd rather see it live on like that than be destroyed.

again, I wonder what the point is with the headrest screens, against the back of your head???
they should not have painted the SEC grille.
they could have done worse! aside from the color, it's not bad.

I agree. The results are hideous, but most of the 126s I see at the pick-n-pull are in better shape than that car was before they assualted it. It ain't murder if the body was dead when you shot it.... In all seriousness, this diesel's life has probably been extended by 5 or more years.

So they kept the diesel in it? I saw the previews last night not knowing it had already aired and I don't have speakers here at work. I saw last night they installed a Duramax diesel in a Chevy Impala Super Sport.

This will be another non-running diesel as soon as the valves get tight enough . Anyone notice the lack of an oil puddle on the drive?

Wow...ghettotacular. I've seen $249 Maaco paint jobs that had better masking than they did on that thing!!!

Cheers, John

I think we're all missing the point here ... I for one am pretty excited about the new checklist I'm going to use when fixing an old Benz:

1. Remove all oem equipment.
2. Install copious video screens and, of course, wifi.
3. Glue in liberal amounts of fake fur.
4. Add sound, preferably distorted.
5. Apply Krylon.
6. Drive.

I'm off to the police auction now ... man this next restoration is going to be a piece of cake!
