Experiences with Royal Purple oils and fluids?

Was reading a thread on another site recently about RP products - appears there are a few companies selling on ebay with reasonable shipping charges.

While it is still a bit more expensive than M1, it is pretty close to price of Delvac ... is it as good? Any sources for real independent analysis?

Thanks!!

RP is good for racing engines and short drain intervals. Royal Purple uses a different chemistry than most. They are one of only a handful of marketers using Moly (Molybdenum Disulfide) in their oil. Moly is a solid, specifically banned by Cummins, due to excessive valve train wear.

Mobil1/Delvac1 is a better oil for daily drivers and extended drain intervals.

Ah .... yeah, familiar with it - I don't recall seeing any of the literature discuss having it - means they are sensitive ... is the base synthetic?
