Strong Oil smell

Driving around, I smell nothing, vents off, put it to the floor and I smell oil after I've decellerated and am at a constant speed.

smells like crankcase fumes.

I've noticed the same thing, especially in the winding back roads of the mountains. Kind of an intermittent petroleum smell that lasts for 30 seconds or so. It's happened to me a few times as I recall, with the same smell each time.

I vent my crankcase fumes to the atmosphere so I figured that was just it's particular smell in those load conditions. Part of it's personality.

The engine didn't make any unusual noises, oil pressure was good and no change in power so I haven't thought much into it.

Yeah, same here, but I've also noticed a little blow by on my intake manifold, maybe I need to re tighten my manifolds..I did the gasket just last fall..
but wow, does she get up and go when I nail it, ever since putting that new modulator in...maybe I'll shoot some video or something tomorrow..
