I am doing my first self oil change on my 1983 300SD. I got the Knecht Oil Filter Fit. It is all pretty much straight forward but I have a question. There is a large “O” ring gasket that is easy to see where it goes on the canister lid. There are two washers, one brass and one steel that came with the filter. My question is, where do they go? I don’t see where they are on the canister or canister lid.

Thanks for your help…….
