opinions on the '97 e300d

I found one I think I get into for $12,500. 91,500 miles.

Bought in 99 starmarked and then ALL MAINTENANCE (including oil changes) as done at the dealer.

It's the textbook situation, self-described "perfectionist" older gentlemen, always garage kept, dealer maintained, etc., etc.

My big concern is the fact that '97 are non-turbo. For a few more nickels I feel like I could get into a '98 or '99 with the turbo.

I've read here that the turbos will keep their value more than the non-turbo 606s. This car has been so well maintained though, I'm not sure I care.

I'm really interested in a car to run bio-diesel and I will be doing as much in town driving as highway, so maybe not having the turbo won't matter.

Any thoughts from you smart folks?

As always, thank you!

With running bio-diesel you will experience some powerloss. I notice it running B20 on my E300, nevermind running higher concentration of bio.

If you will run a higher concentration of bio, get a turbo.
