opinions on the '97 e300d
I found one I think I get into for $12,500. 91,500 miles.
Bought in 99 starmarked and then ALL MAINTENANCE (including oil changes) as done at the dealer. It's the textbook situation, self-described "perfectionist" older gentlemen, always garage kept, dealer maintained, etc., etc. My big concern is the fact that '97 are non-turbo. For a few more nickels I feel like I could get into a '98 or '99 with the turbo. I've read here that the turbos will keep their value more than the non-turbo 606s. This car has been so well maintained though, I'm not sure I care. I'm really interested in a car to run bio-diesel and I will be doing as much in town driving as highway, so maybe not having the turbo won't matter. Any thoughts from you smart folks? As always, thank you! |

With running bio-diesel you will experience some powerloss. I notice it running B20 on my E300, nevermind running higher concentration of bio.
If you will run a higher concentration of bio, get a turbo. |
