Thanks
Mann, Hengst, Knecht, Bosch... they're all good. The OEM filter from the dealer is made by one of these companies. You can buy these filters and other parts from this site, just click on "Buy Parts". Another good site is ***************.

Bosch is not an OEM filter. The others are and Mahle/Knecht are the same company now I think.

You may be right about Bosch and oil filters, but Bosch does make a lot of OE parts for Mercedes. I think you're also right about the Mahle/Knecht merger. The oil filter for my VW has both names on it.

Thanks for all your information. Finaly I made a decision and got Mobil 1 ESP Formula M 5W40.
Is there any of the fleece filters available for 606 engine?
How about additional filtration systems?

In other words, this engine doesn't have any strict oil requirements. The 5W40 Mobil1 Turbodiesel Truck oil (same as Delvac1) is an excellent choice. Currently I use Red Line 15W40, but I may switch to Delvac1 depending on the results of my next oil analysis. Just make sure to use a diesel-rated oil (API CF at the very minimum) and preferably a 40-weight (xW-40).
If you may switch to a 15w-40, I'd suggest the AMSOil Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine 15w-40

I would have recommended the Mobil Delvac1 - (a.k.a. Turbodiesel & Truck) both as the same oil just re-labeled. A good 5w-40 oil and I have run that in my E300 N/A since I've owned it. Good Oil Analysis results. Since depleting my D1 stock and considering I live in the South, I've since switched to AMSOil 15w-40 diesel. It's a slightly heavier weight, good for the hot summer here.
