How to lube the sunroof glide area?

What kind of stuff should I use to lube the sunroof glide area with? I do have some lightweight grease around, but I'm sure something special is required. Also, any tricks to lubing it properly? When I use the flip up vent then close it, I get wind noise in. I then have to open it as a sunroof a bit, then go back forward to stop the wind noise. Maybe some lubing will fix this problem as well.

Thanks,

I've never done this job as my sunroof is fine (have had it out a few times though).
All the DIY articles I've read about it say to use the official MBZ slide grease that is available at the stealership.
