'80 300TD hydraulic line replacement

I recently decided that i needed to rebuild my hydraulic suspension valve and possibly replace an accumulator. Due to the severe rust I was unable to remove the two lines that run to the accumulators from the valve and had to cut them (the supply and return lines from the engine had been cut in the past and patched). I've noticed that inside the two small lines there appears to be a small metal rod (?) that runs the entire length of the lines. Has anyone ever replaced these lines before and if so what did you use? I was planning on using a flexible high pressure hose. Also, i need to replace the piece which connects the lines to the valve itself, as well piece which connects the line to the accumlator. It appears to be a 1/8" flare (or at least thats what i was hoping to use). I've searched the forum and have not been able to find any info on replacing these lines. I'm sure someone else has a rusty old TD. Any suggestions would really help. Thanks
