W123 Front Upper Control Arm Bushings

Hi - Its been a while since I have posted; I wonder if many of the Old Familiars are left?
Anyways, the 123 is wallowing like a pig and the front upper control arm bushings are worn to almost nothing. Is removing and replacing them a big chore? What is involved?

removing and replacing is easy. Buy some new UCA's for both sides.. unbolt the old ones...with the car off the ground and . unbolt the sway bar and the spindle from it.. then from the chasis.. then reverse.. a jack might be needed to get things lined up right and then bolt everything together

Uppers are pretty easy. I replaced the entire arm on both sides, since one of the ball
joints was shot and they are not replaceable. PM me with your email address if you
want the section from the FSM detailing the Upper Arm R&R.

Be sure to lower car onto jack stands under lower control arm, after removing wheel, before you start removing UCA. In order to get new bushings on torsion bar, I had to get long bolts with same thread to line everything up, as there are a few washers. I also greased up said bushings, you may not have to. I may have done a thread on this.

I did mine myself and it is not bad at all. This is where I got mine.........http://www.***************/index.html.
I did have some advice and used it. When you go to bolt on the sway bar, use the old bushing on the outside to draw it into place, then install the new bushing. Keeps from damage to the new bushing. Also, on the passenger side, the bolt is a bear to get out, so I put it back in from the front of the hole instead of the rear of the hole.......not that there is anything wrong with that.
