Trans fluid drips after a drive any ideas?
Hi guys,
I have a 87 300d that drips trans fluid after the car is run for a few minutes. Any clues? It seems to be leaking from between the engine and transmission mating area. thanks, Nick

Sounds like the front pump seal to me. We had to reseal our 87 300D also...
Is it dripping from the grate area?

Yeah that's what I'd describe it as. Sort of a grate looking thing on the bottom of the transmission. If I look through the grate holes, there's like a shiney silver circular area in there. Not sure what that is but it's got fluid all over it.
