Try the search...it's a very common problem.

Yes, a search.

Broken vacuum line at the shutoff actuator
Vacuum leak elsewhere in the system reducing available vacuum
Bad shut-off actuator
Bad keyswitch

I installed a filter before the shutoff actuator. This will let me know if the diaphragm inside the actuator is leaking and is about to fail. It will also prevent oil from contaminating the rest of my vacuum system.

You don't have to remove the oil filter housing to remove valve. I think you can install a filter by adding one in line. You should be able to test shut off valve by attaching a mityvac to line with engine running, and pull vac, should shut off if valve is working, right?

yup..

Just as too manybenz'z said test it out it may need some repair.. BUt if you have not already found through search, look for the brown vac line coming from your cabnext to the brake master cylinder.. It should go to the shut off valve, to the right of the fuel pump..

My line was just hanging there, I plugged it back in and presto it's all good again.
