quick windshield question

I need to get a new windshield for my 1982 300CD. I'll probably try to find a nice one from the junkyard ($$$). Does anyone know whether one from a 300D or 240D, the W123 style, would fit?
thanks
izick

Call any replacement auto glass shop for information. Most mercedes coupes do have a different windshield than the four door sedans. I would be suprised if this 123 model was an exception.
On the otherhand you never know for sure in this world until it is checked out. In your case someone with a far greater knowledge than me will post pretty soon I imagine.

If I'm not mistaken, the rear glass is different but the front glass is the same.

NO. both the windshield and the rear glass are different. Coupés have a lower roof line. Good luck finding a coupé glass at the yard. If you are very lucky you will get one for 30bucks but I would not hold my breath... The seals also are different.

Rashakor is right, all the glass is different in a coupe. Check out this site:

https://www.safelite.com/

They have on online quote that gives you the price of glass for lots of cars, and their local installers. Did a quick check in my area and they want a little over $200 installed.
