Tranny Front Pump removal

Anyone ever done that? Trying to swap mine out and got in there and now I'm not sure what to do. Thanks.

Josh

How far did you get?

Pull the bellhousing off.

Pull the bearing off the backside of the bellhousing.
Unscrew the 4 retaining bolts on the backside.
Find 2 bolts with same thead pitch but longer- screw them in the holes .
Tap on these bolts to push the cover off the front pump.
Have a good cry.

Rick

Rick, I have the bellhousing off. So do I need to swap the bearing on the bellhousing too? I took the 3 screws off of the front of the pump but there is also a little flat clip I need to take off then it looks like the pump will slide out. Maybe I'm wrong.

Lonesome-

I don't recall a clip, but maybe there is ( 2 years since I did this). I guess I would keep the old bearing if it isn't sloppy. You may need to swap stators as well- mine was damaged too.
