I'm in New Orleans. Not Cajun but honorary coonass. Up early this am to go hunt some specks and reds.

There are a fair few Diesels around NOLA but not nearly as many as there used to be 2 years ago.

I'd be up for a get together as long as you bring some boudin. I am planning on getting out of town for the summer (July-mid Sept) so it would have to happen in the next month or after the summer. After ten years I've finally come to my senses (and found a nice cool place to spend some time in Western Mass-will have to switch over to chasing blues and stripers or even learn the art of freshwater angling).

I get down to NOLA quite often - have lot's of friends there and it's a great quick get away for myself and the OH. If there would be a casual meeting one weekend I would be definitely up for that. (PM me I don't subscribe to threads anymore). Any of you have the sweet dark brown 126? Spotted it parallel parking near Orleans St. a few weeks ago.

I,m in Lafayette Louisiana. There are a number of 123's around here. They are all over the road there are a number of them in the salvage yards. Hell in great condition they go for only $2,000. Thats why I have 7, 2 of which are parts cars. I've got parts, Part cars, know where 5/6 of them are in salvage yards and enjoy working on them my self. I've been in love with and driving these for about 35 yrs. I did my first 22 of 55 yrs in N. O. 2yrs in B.R. at L.S.U. Then on to Coon Ass country where I'm convinced GOD'S CHEF lives along with all of his best picked good people. We can form a group of us who can help each other in work, experience. Cheap parts that you or I have a lot of or don't need. I'm NOT talking DUES. or anything. Perhaps someone To share our 123. diesel. There is no one in the area to relate to. I'M lucky I have a understanding wife. Shareing Email addresses to help each other is a ok deal with me. RAY M

We met John (klattaklatta) at the recent Gulfport GTG. We're in Miz too. I'm a Louisiana expat (Lafayette, me) and if y'all want to organize something we're good for it.

E mail me with your locations and i'll copy them and post them. I'll use our forum names if you like. We may find someone close by we didn't know was around so we can help each other etc. If anything at all comes from it great. No telling something Great may come of it. We can check out cars on ebay that might be in our areas. Ask if there is anything around we've seen for sale, Inquire whats in the salvage yard around where someone else is.
