Where is the woodruff key? (camshaft disassembled as we speak!)
I've pulled the cam sprocket off to put a woodruff key in, and there is no key that I can see anywhere. Or anyway it could fit in.
This is a 602 in a 92 300D. It's not a W617 which I have seen with the woodruff key. Has anyone seen the woodruff key in a 602 or 603 camshaft?? I bought the part and it's for a 602 so I'm thinking it must be in there somewhere! WHERE? PS The cam sprocket is sitting outside off the camshaft as we speak.

I believe there is a pin parallel to cam that clocks the cam and sprocket. That's why there is no offset key available for 60x's.

Yeah, I noticed that. COuldn't find the woodruff key - there isn't one!
Wonder why they sell it for the 602 then. Strange.
