Cruise control pin contact lube??

I finished with the 3rd part of the paint claybar and wax and polish today.

I also worked with the cruise control today. Pulled the amp. box and everything looks very good on the board, so I put it back in and used some connector lube, the cruise works!!!!! Just a little info for ya. Hope it last.

An electrical plug lube from the auto parts store. I says that it helps with contact and corrosion. 99c for a small packet.
I think that it may be a fix other than recrimping the pins. But I don't know how long it will last. But I will injoy it as long as I can!!!

Near brake pedal. 10mm bolt, I think. Contortion required to remove. There will be something else attached with a couple of screws, too difficult to get to, until you get that 10mm outta there. I have a few lying around I've pulled from bone yard, plus the one that doesn't work in the SD. God knows if any of 'em work.

Would the cruise amp be a likely culprit if the cruise don't work on an 84 300D - assuming everything else is fine?

I was talking to a junk yard who wanted $50 for the amp and the 1st aid kit compartment together off an 85 D. Can't say if thats an ok price and no telling if the amp will work.

Has anyone tried resoldering the amp pcb and got it to work??

That's a pretty high price for something you don't know if it works. When at a p'n'p, I grab the CCU, have a few laying around. Just sent Phil a request for a tool quote on the necessary part to check these things. I have a feeling if available, will be pricey. There are a number of other things to check too. The site, http://gdl-online.com/test023 good luck. Just heard back from Phil, available at $500.00.
