1979 240D Series Glow Plug Test Please

Have changed from series loop style glow plugs to Beru pencil type series glow plug. Conversion. Have about 25,000 miles on the set.
Besides the live wire test with a spark, any one have a simple method to check these with a volt or ohm meter to find which one or ones are bad?

Would like to do the test without removing glow plugs if possible. Please be as descriptive as possible thanks

Tom

One lead of ohm tester to block, other to hot wire on the plug. Should be less than .8 ohms as i recall. If the plugs are loop wired to each other, you may need to disconnect the wire to test.
