Seat question
I just pick up another 85 sd for work, Do you guys know if any other seat goes in ? I dont feel like rebuilding, seats again. Like I said , this car is for work,for my 100 mi per day trip ! thanks J

i dont think any others are alike. i wouldn't be surprised if a 123 seat would bolt in, but good luck on finding a good one of those too. at 25 years of age they are pretty rare in good condition too.

I have replaced my 126 seats w/123s. There are some differences. For simplicity sake I eliminated the power adjust for the back of seat angle and left the manual from the 123. The 123 seats bolted up to the base w/ the other power functions. I recall having to use some of the old 126 hardware for the seat belts.

If you are going to be sitting in that seat for 100 miles everyday it would be worth it to me and my butt and back to rebuild the seat.

I think I remember some one on this site replacing theirs with seats from a BMW. You mite try doing a search to see if it comes up.
