300d ride height

Hi, I'm wondering how to go about improving the rear ride height of my 1978 300d (high miles). It kind of squats down and looks tired. Can I just install some 19 mm coil spring shims for $8. each or do I have to replace the coil springs at $80. each. I have a mechanic friend to do the work. Thanks, Danielb

Try the pads first.
