Who's got an old Strut laying around?
I was wondering if anyone out there has perhaps relaced a bad Strut and still has it around or has a good one they would be willing to part with (sell or trade). Specifically what I need from the strut is the Universal Joint Parts Kit (part # 000 320 02 28) which consists of a ball joint and a round disc with 6 holes that attaches to the base of the Strut. Unfortunately this kit is dealer only and has to be shipped here from Germany which could take up to 2 weeks. I need this ASAP. If you have a bad/leaky Strut that you haven't gotten rid of yet you can check to see that the ball joint still rotates on the base. If you have one with a good ball joint let me know and I can tell you how to get it off or i'll take the entire strut and do it myself. The part # for the Strut itself is 123 320 07 13.
Thankyou for any assistance, woody

Got One
also posted on parts forum:
Actually got two, in fact i got a whole nother wagon. An '85 300TD for $500 with a rough body but from the drive I took to get it to my house (@ 5 miles) a great motor (257+k on the clock), smooth transmission ("Deezel" will rise again), functional cooling system, and working susupension. I'd still take a bad strut off someones hands if you happen to come across one just to have the back up. thanks peace, woody
