just cut the wires? "one says yes the other says no"

83 300sd

well i found a new drivers seat. realized it had heat- took it anyway.

the indy says cut them and splice them because the adapters dont match up. his mechanic says it wont work. the heated seat does have extra wires- i assume for the heat

all's i want is for it to recline and move back and forth

will splicing work?

Don't cut the wires, if its like almost every other connector in these cars, you can pop the connector open and rearrange the wires or put a different connector on..

Are there any carryovers in wire color between the 2 plugs? Just a thought, IDK much about the power seats.

More wires....

Another nit wrt to the early W126 chassis.

The 1985 cars also came with a power headrest, earlier ones were manual.
Might explain some of the additional wires.

Jim
