My '95 E300D emanates an audible whistling sound somewhere from the back of the car every-time I make either a right or left turn. It doesn't even have to be a very sharp turn. The whistling continuous for as long as I am turning.

Does not sound like a tire noise at all. Applying the breaks, or the emergency breaks makes no difference. Any ideas?
