AC problem on87300sdl
 

I have noticed a lot of very intelligent people with very good answers, and hope that someone can assist me, or point me to a proper forum for my problem.

1987 300SDL
The AC compressor and the aux. fan wont turn on, and the AC doesnt work. I found a book that says I have a 25Amp fuse OUTSIDE the fuse box, but I cant find it when I get under the hood.

The book also says that I have an ETR, but I cant find it either.

Can someone let me know where they are, or point me in the right direction.

I changed the temp. control box in the console, but that didnt fix the problem either.
I put guages on, and have 90/90.
I by-pass the switch on the dryer bottle, and the aux. fan comes on. When I bypass the other switch, nothing happens.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are not getting the compressor to kick on when the pressure switch is bypassed then it is probably the klima relay behind the battery or the push button control unit.

Could also be the compressor clutch or the rpm sensor.

Search "ice cube relay" for AC electrical information.
