new 240 D owner

Hello,

Let me introduce myself. My name is james and I am a proud owner of a 1983 240 D. I recently bough this car for 250 bones. My friend got it so hot on the highway that it quit. He let it run low on oil. So i bought it from him. I still think it is runable. It is kinda ruff as far as the interior and paint goes but nothing a little elbow grease won't fix.

Funny. I just bought one that is the same color as yours, that was run out of oil and the engine locked up. Small world.
I'm not sure how I am going to proceed. What are your plans?

well here is what happened he said he was driving 70 it lost power and went to 35. he pulled off the side of the rode and it died. Me and him got some oil and tried starting it. It still turned over and never made any horrific noises. So hopefully I'll get lucky. does anyone have a fix for the shedding horse hair seats lol, these things are falling apart.

new pads are available from your favorite mb parts specialist. Fastlane is a sponser of this site. I am pretty sure they would have them.
