Advise for a used 1987 300td mercedes wagon

Hi,

This is my first time to this forum. So I want to ask if anybody have a good advice about a 1987 300td Mercedes Diesel Wagon I am interested on. It has 195 k miles, the engine is strong, smooth transmition, AC needs gas, exterior is in good condition as well as interior. The owner is asking $9k, but I feel it a bit high. He won't lower the price but I still like the car. Is his a good option?
