diesel purge results somewhat unsatisfying..

ok so I did the purge got white smoke and I thought everything was going great.

I changed both fuel filters immediately after the purge. The only thing I can note is the the inline filter has 3 noticable air bubbles in it (I heard one is normal) - two are about 1/5" wide and the other about an 1.25".

Both the old filters were absurdly dirty.

What I was looking for was more power but I can't honestly say I really feel it. Still feels kind of sluggish. And seems I have to push the accelerator too hard to get some power.

And this may be unrelated.. but I can't understand the turbo. Sometimes its a turtle, sometimes i really feel a nice jolt. For exapmle I am going 20mph or so, if i then slam the pedal all the way down, i barely increase in speed, but after about a second or two delay, the turbo kicks in and feels pretty nice... but is it supposed to take this long?

Thanks for the help so far)

primer

Did you pump the fuel primer after installing the new prefilter...

ALso, did you fill the spin on fuel filter with diesel before installing.

I believe the turbo should take a second or two to spool up before it will deliver any additional power. So that should be normal.

Seems like dirtied fuel system isn't the culprit for your slowness so I would start looking elsewhere. Check out your accelerator linkage for any play and ensure full travel
