Broken Air Cleaner bolt snapped off

I was putting my air cleaner top back on my 81-300sd and snapped off the center bolt smooth with the top. It goes up to the top cover, but not through it enough to get the nut on it! How can I fix that or am I going to have to bite it and get a replacement air cleaner assembly?

Thanks, Don

I would imagine that the bolt could be replaced.

Nope, the bolt is one piece with the entire assembly...but...maybe I could knock it out and just replace it with a long bolt. Wouldn't that work?

I'd certainly try that before going out and looking for another air cleaner.

I just hacked up my air cleaner to get the oil seperator, the bolt portion is available if you want it, but I'd prolly just use threaded rod.
