Systemic Horn/Electrical Problem
Hello,
I am the new owner of a 1987 TurboD. It has an intermittment problem that causes the horn to honk lightly when I depress the brake or lock the door or trunk with a key. I believe this is an electrical problem but I am not sure how to fix it. If this topic has been covered in this forum already, please point me to it; I was unable to find anything about this problem. Thanks in advance, Melanie |

The door locks and the brake are tied to the alarm system. The alarm horn is the single horn near the left inner fender.
Disconnect the wires to the alarm horn, try again. If this fixes it, you can decide to disconnect or fix the alarm. The alarm is under the front passenger's floormat/carpet, can be unplugged entirely if necessary.
