random downshifts on highway
84300sd will kick down into third while at highway speed. I can coax it in to fourth by going into neutral a moment and then back into D. It will stay in 4th if I am real steady on the pedal but will downshift into third with little provication.
It seems to be getting progessivly less responsive to my neutral trick and is also now doing it enough to be near undrivable.
Fluid level seems fine, tried a couple different bowden cable adjustments. Where do I start?

38K miles on flatplate heat exchanger and various diesel/veg blends. prior to that 4K miles on unheated veggie blends with kero and DinoD.
