I'd say yes because it has the glow plug port adapter. I know the Harbor Fright kit only costs about $20 but I'm not certain it has the glow plug attachment, which would save on heat shields and return hose. It's a lot more work using the injector attachment. Of course if the Harbor Freight kit has the glowplug doodad then it's just a matter of which Chinese tool is better.

Do you need the bits that aren't in this set?

I think I have that Harbor Freight set in the garage unused (and if so, for sale). It doesn't have an adapter for the 603.97 injectors. The **************.com set doesn't seem to have the right adapter either.

No, it's not worth it.

Typical MercedeSource, charging way more than what it's worth. If there was one place NOT to buy things from, it's MercedeSource.

Go to Harbor Freight and get it for ~$20.

That's what I thought, but just wanted to check. I live in the same town as him so occasionally I will find something I can't get at Fastlane and he has it. Unfortunately it's usually priced to high.

Chinese POS either way you go. You get what you pay for it. You'll probably strip the threads after a cylinder or two. Heck worse it may break off in one of your GP holes or injector chambers. I wouldn't trust the gauge either. I'd go on ebay and look for a good one like Snap on or Matco. Worth the piece of mind, saved engine parts and unscraped knuckles.
There's also nothing red white or blue about it, unless they're talking about your knuckles after using it.

False hopes or false failures using Chinese tools.
Trust not, want not.
