A/C Issues

Got an A/C question...

I pulled the CCU, found two burnt traces. I soldered a jumper wire to reconnect the contact points. No cigar, nada, nothing, just like before.

I don't have anything, no defrost, no blower kicking on nothing.

I believe the next thing I should check is the Klima relay, I printed off a posting showing what pins do what, however, I have no idea where the klima relay is on my 1985 300TD

Anyone able to help me out?

Thanks,

Reverendxlt

Klima

Here it is, next to the brake booster. If it fails, the compressor clutch won't be activated.

ok, came back to this after a couple other issues have been resolved...

I can't get anything at all from my A/C, and I am seriously in need of defrost, if not heat here in San Antonio, TX.

If I'm not getting anything at all is this most likely the ccu?

If your td is like the 300sd, air and heater reads the tach signal to some extent to operate properly. Also, make sure fuses to air/heater are in good shape. My 300SD makes a round imprint on the end of the fuse. I have to burnish the fuse holder in the box with super-fine sandpaper and install a new fuse with a little dielectric grease, and all is fine for a couple of years.
Then if that does not help, start a search on the monovalve -- in the heater system.
Check and replace that little booger if needed.

Regards
