1976-300D Need Help Fuel Pump

Need Information about the fuel pump. What amount of pressure should the fuel pump put out???? Is the fuel system pressureized from the feul pump up to the filter, thru the filter and then down to the Injector Pump????? Any help will be appreciated.... jim16671836

It is pressurized that way but I don't know the pressure.

The system is pressurized from the fuel pump to the filter and onto the injection pump. I'm not sure of the exact figure.........guessing somewhere between 10 and 15 psi.

Lack of Fuel/Return Fuel

The engine will start but will not run longer than a minute... Not getting fuel and the return is not much more than a drip... Filters changed, used diesel purge... no change... Tried disconnecting both lines and using a remote reservoir with fuel... no change... any ideas.... Jim

Disconnect fuel line from pump to secondary. Place in bucket. Crank engine for 10 seconds. Observe bucket. If you don't get at least two ounces........fuel pump is NG.
