Cruise Control parts list

I know I've seen it. I know I've read it. I knew I could find it again, but nnnnoooooo! Can some one post the list of needed parts to be replaced in the CC amp? I tried searching and have read a lot of posts about resolders etc. but cannot find the post with the list of pieces. It seems to me the parts can be bought at a Radio Shack. Also has anyone tried to replace these parts with long term success? Would you have replaced with something different? Thanks.

The specific link for the cruise is here:

Wow!!!

I just arrived home from a friend's house where we were discussing the "old-MB" and how switches and the hard core electronics seemed to be fashioned to military spec's. I told him the prior to fixing humans.... I used to fix electronic stuff.

Perhaps, I have found a "cottage industry" in refurbing old MB electronics and switches etc...

On the site: http://www.mindspring.com/~houlihan/merc/cruise.htm

It discusses "resoldering" the entire board. Please use care when resoldering the back of any IC chip. most logic chips don't take to much overheating before they "crap-out". Use some kind of heat sink on the front side of the board on the chip's "spider legs" to dissipate extra heat before it reaches the component.

Considering the comment about "burnt parts", every electronic device/component is manufactured with a little "puff-of-smoke" built into it. If you let the "puff-of-smoke" out of the component, it will no longer work.

Like all the others, I too, have heard the rumors about a parts list for the CC amp and been unable to find it. It can't be that complicated for those who understand the mysterious ways of the electron. Would it help if I offered a case of your favorite suds to the one who can help us all with this information?

I too wish someone had the parts list....I'd be willing to tackle a re-furb of my cruise if I could get the parts to do it.

I remember seeing parts like upgraded heat sinks, transistors?, etc. There was a post witha list that someonr had done. At the time for less than 20 bucks to get the upgraded new parts. Oh well hopefully this will jog someones mind. Thanks.
