Question Linkage Adjustment to FSM specs

Anyone here have success adjusting their linkages to exactly the factory specs?

I did that on my engine and the throttle does not travel smoothly. I need to extend the pushrod that goes to the IP by about a cm to get smooth travel.

FWIW - I am trying to adjust the curve going to the VCV for the transmission. I think it dumps vac too fast. It starts at 15mmHG and goes to 4mmHg with a couple cm's of pedal travel.

I'm just trying to get it back to stock following the FSM article.
