New to Northern Dallas

Looking for a recommended mechanic for my wagon. I am in McKinney, and don't want to travel to far if not needed.
Thanks

Welcome

Well, it isn't just REAL close to McKinney, but I live 15 miles east of Dallas and I still will NOT go anywhere else for MB stuff that I can't handle.
Great guy, great mechanic!! Promise!

You might try the Good MB Shops forum on the main page. Others have recommendations more up your direction, like Richardson, but I would only go to Don.

Hello, cchkaiban

I am just a few miles north of you in Anna, TX

I think we have a new member of the North TX Mercedes Club.

Hey, when are we having our next get together ?

We should start having a swap meet or something.

Thank You
Have Fun
RichC

IXXI Enterprises

Hey cchkaiban,

It's shell.

Not close to you really, but Nine-Eleven Enterprises serviced my 84 300SD for years before I inherited it from my mom. They did most of the A/C work for me (something I'm not skilled & equiped to do).

There are NO mechanics near you. Better sell me the wagon.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm just a bit east of Mckinney and know of two retired MB mechanics in the historical district. There's also "German Joe" in Farmersville just off hwy 78. I'll try to find contact info and get back to you.

PM me if you ever want to get rid of the wagon.

Welcome! I live near Greenville, actually between Royse City and Caddo Mills on I-30.

I like the idea of a NTX get together that is actually in NTX, like McKinney, Anna, Melissa, all the way up to Sherman/Denison. My mother just got remarried to a guy from Blue Ridge. I wonder if I could fanagle use of the land. He 11 acres. I personally have two acres.

I almost bought some land in Melissa, but the place had a DWide trailer house and the mortgage company said NO WAY, so we found this place in rural Hunt county. At least the taxes are cheaper in Hunt vs Dallas and Collin counties.

We had a GTG earlier this year at Whiskey Dan's place near Van Alstyne, and it is just a great place to have one. {not to volunteer his place for him. }
I've also kicked around the idea of having one here. I have the room in back to park a fleet if all is dry. Hmmmmm
We do need to have a "Hotter than Hell" North Texas meet though....
I'll go where ever we decide......

Unfortunately, I had people in from out of town, so I missed out...sheesh. Van Alstyne, just up 75 from McKinney. Been pulled over there before. Howe, near Sherman is a nice speed trap also.

I guess I should have listed what I was trying to get done. I need a ring, only one, replaced on cylinder number 3. Piston is fine, wall is fine, just a ring warped after a complete rebuild when a crack in the head revealed itself. Was hoping to find someone capable but not that expensive...maybe someone out there with the equipment, could help me do it for some$$$.
I am a bit optimistic, but I don't think it will need machining.
Thanks...
