I have been troubleshooting/replacing vacuum components for a few months now. I had my vacuum tester hooked up to the main vacuum feed for the HVAC for a few days, and I noticed something strange while driving. When I am at idle, I get about 7-8 in/hg, but when I am hitting the throttle, I am getting next to 0 in/hg.

Is this normal? Any ideas?

it's on an '85 300cd if that helps.
