300SD window clouding problem

I've had a problem over the years with the windows inside my 79SD clouding up. It's not moisture. It only takes a couple of weeks to cloud up after cleaning. Only driven about 50 miles a week. I can wipe off with tissue. It's black on tissue but does not smear like oil might. I'm thinking possibly exhaust although car does not smoke at all. I've likely got it to lean.
ANY IDEAS?
