Greetings,
I'm in the process of swapping a new engine into my 1990 300D and have discovered why my original engine has died. The oil pump sprocket has no teeth!

It has been rounded completely smooth. The engine had 298K miles.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Does anyone know what the part number is for oil pump sprocket?
