tachomoter question (om617)

hey guys..

tell me is this the thing that attaches to the crankcase and plugs into the tach amp?

F6010-28282

Reference Sensor. Position Located at front crank pulley.

I need a new whatever that thing is that plugs into the engine side of the tach amp...i was tracing it because of arrant readings on the tach and it just broke right off wherever it was plugged into...

thanks

kris

The three female end piece goes in from bottom of bracket below amp on inner fender. The end with the metal bracket is bolted to the block near crank. Depending on where it broke off you may not need anything other than the sensor cable pictured. Difficult to see, not to mention work on, with the belts on. You may want to degrease there to get a look. Tach amps fail routinely.
