Is there any adjustment to an ADA?
I can see that there is tons of talk about ALDA but us non turbo folks are kind of left in the dust (both figuratively AND literally)
Is there any adjustment to an ADA?

Yes. Adjust it the same way, CCW to increase fuel, CW to decrease.

Can set screw be turned with ADA in place, or does it have to be removed first?

It can be adjusted in place, just be sure to hold the locking nut and be very gentle (I'm assuming the ADA is similar to the ALDA)

speaking of ADA adjustment, the OM606.910 also has this thing on the pump but has a black plastic cap thing in the middle which just rotates. If its adjustable does that mean I can get some more power out of this motor.

That black thing is a cover for the adjustment screw.
More power? Depends on numerous things, adjust the valves, how is the timing chain stretch?

My new 1984 300sd would start moving slower than I can walk, especially on a hill. After I took the little cap the off of the ALDA the adjustment took about a minute. I turned it about 1 1/4 CCW and the difference is amazing. Now I see why owners adjust it. THANKS!
