Notice all the snow on the ground? That's AUGUST in Murmansk.

brrrr, looks cold. my garage is 200feet from my house... nice big lock on the door... keeps unwanteds out when I am "working"

How many of us keep our garages stocked with pickles?

New2MB 08-02-2007 03:08 PM

That looks awesome, I'm jealous. I can't find anyone within 10 miles of me that even changes their own oil.

"The garages are often furnished with old furniture, so after bad rows with their wives the men can come here to stay for a few days."

thats all we gear heads need.. a garage with a bed/bath and small kitchen off to the side. The garage takes up 95% of the space ^_^

Thats me

I rent a shop ,its located in a office warehouse center .Ive got enough room to fit 4 cars in the garage and an office up front with a room off to the side .I have a frig ,microwave and last month I found a cabinet lower and upper to make a kitchenet/bar. It runs me $600 a month and is a total of 1700 sq ft..I guess the guys on the other side of the pond are not so different after all.

My Ukrainian father-in-law does not know how to drive, so he has no garage.

However, he keeps his tools ( he's kind of a handyman by profession) in a derelict refrigerator on the balcony of their fifth floor apartment.

The pickles are out there, too, right up next to the apartment wall where they don't freeze. Pickling is a huge deal in the former USSR. Refrigerators are small.

Sure, rub it in...;)

Pickles and vodka could sustain me for weeks!

Thats nice! Garage's can sell homes, here is a good story.

An agent I know was showing a single guy who was a gearhead homes. She showed him one with a sweet 4 car garage outback with a built in lift, very nice. He looked at the garage and said I'll take it lets write it up. She was like don't you want to see the house? He said yeah well I guess I should but you write it up as I walk through.:D:D
