Man, if I needed a little truck, I wouldn't be afraid of it at all. Well worth a $2k-$3k price IMHO.......

The truck would (hopefully) provide a convenient way to get the engine home; beyond that, it appears to be junk.

Yes plywood mount and a hacked up main cross member. I'd say that thing is unsafe for the road.

Now if he can get a 617 into a Dodge Dakota, any reason I couldn't toss one into my 93 Grand Cherokee?

Plywood block?

Are you serious? you really think that hunk of metal is plywood. Forced induce. You really need to look into this amish horsh drawn spreader. I think you would be really impressed with the workmanship and quality of this fine conversion. The truck is also still available. I know you are already thinking of buying it and slamming it and putting a serious system in it. Am I right or am I right?

It does not look that bad to me. If I had a use for it I would consider it but I would place the value at between one and two thousand I suspect, after a personal examination.

That block if pylwood would not bother me too much. It is just a spacer, the bolts holding the steel are doing the real work, and it is just a transmission support after all.

I think it was a good idea to begin with. The execution may not be perfect, but it really does not look that bad to me.

Just a transmission support? Look closer and you will see he cut a big section out of one of the main frame cross members! That's 1/6th of it's structural cross-strength.

just imagine the sound...

of two clydesdale horses grunting and pulling. the clatter of the hooves and the commands of the man yelling orders in pennsylvania dutch. The leather leads slaping on top of the horses backs. The wood build trailer with wood carriage wheels without any rubber rolling through the dirt. and than...
the turbo charged whirl of the brilliantly designed diesel engine rumbling as it throws the fertilizer with german precision. And again, I will say it again..
Now that's engineering...
Forced induce..
trucks still available since your last post if you are as serious as I think...

now we are talking.

throw in another 2,200 and I'll throw in the spreader, the horses, and all the people that are in that picture. Sounds like we might have a deal here.
