Injectors in Acetone

I pulled my injectors this morning and they are quite dirty. I took them apart and submerged them all in acetone; I'll probably take them out omorrow. It just occured to me though, are there any components in the nozzle that may be negatively affected by the acetone?

No. I use acetone, it's fine for the injector bits; not so good for your liver.

Make absolutely sure you keep the nozzles with their matched nozzle body.

Acetone is fine. You can also clean them with a brass wire brush, don't use metal.

Is the torque spec between the two injector halves the same as the torque spec between the head and the injector?

Read the book. Acetone is probably a waste of time and money.

I soak them in marvel mystery oil. but there's never any difference... so I always end up taking them to the local diesel shop and have them tested.
cleaning (unless ultrasonic) will have pretty much no effect whatsoever it seems.

Bosch makes a cleaning kit; I use 0.08 and 0.10 mm. dental instruments under magnification.

Which part(s) of the inectors are lapped? The reason I ask is that they leak pretty bad (from the center), and I'm starting to think that the "lapped" threads aren't sealing correctly. Now that I have them apart, I would like to do everything correctly the first time.
