Beautiful 300SD on craigslist Los Angeles

If I hadn't ordered the CL65 I would have jumped on it: 300SD.

Looks pretty nice, but the could have removed the markings from the used radiator before they installed it.

Ad says "New" radiator.
I wonder what else is bogus.

Looks just like Millie, except she is light ivory and only has 89k.

If my family would let me have two SDs, I'd seriously consider this one.

I'm told it was a dealer add-on. It's probably tape, should be removable.

looks clean, but not perfect. Seems awful pricey for what it is.

This might be a better deal. Nearly the same mileage.

Very definately an original and lifelong Southern California car with the original 1983 2Axxx California "rising sun" optional plates on it and period correct probably original Fletcher Jones license plate frames on it.

Los Feliz is a very good neighborhood in LA, also. The car was very likely well kept up.

If it checks out, it would probably really be worth the price. They are going for good dollars.

Proof:
A couple of days ago this closely watched teal 1983 S00SD with 175k on it that looked mint went for $10,400 on ebay.

When all is said and done, the serious money will step right up and buy this car, for at or near the asking price.

Coming from New England where all daily driver 300SD's are rust buckets at this point...I'd pay that in a heartbeat for a rust free CA car.

Wow.

That car is in excellent condition.

And if you use the billy clinton definition of 'new radiator'...it is 'NEW' to THIS car...so it's not ENTIRELY fallacious.

For most of us-that love these cars? THIS ONE is THE cream puff.

And the price is, at least, OK. Upper end of the market...but LOOK at the car!

Sigh...

I agree, the car is easily worth the $8K price if it is in the advertised condition. I just thought the used radiator was silly, you can buy a new one for $250. I just hope it doesn't have any other half ass fixes. I would certainly take a good look in person before paying $8K.

Looks great to me, but those pics could be 15 years old. I bought a few vehicles from Craig's list, or Ebay, and atleast one of them had 15 year old pics in the ad,,

Nope. Impossible. Look again at pictures #13 and #14. This car is currently stickered to August 2007. And in Calif. the stickers are issued yearly, the oldest those shots could possibly be are August 2006, and I doubt if they are even that old.
