I need to know if the glow plugs for w123 will work on a w124?

Definitely not on the early 123 series plugs. Don't know about the parallel.

Look them up in Fastlane, see if you get the same part number.

tested ok

Ok guys i just tested al of the glow plugs at the relay, they all gave me a steady reading of .02,which makes them good as far as i know,i double checked on another perfectly runing w124 and all of theirs were .02 reading as well, now car wont start and a sample of diesel from the filter looks real watery,i ran out of diesel a few days ago and some fellas with a diesel tank in the back of their truck fed me about 10 gallons which im assuming was mixed with water.
w124 wont start,cranks and cranks but nothing,help.

So do the 123 ones work on the w124 or dont they?

Ive seen w124 ones they are thinner at the tip than 123 ones.

I'll bet they are different, considering the differences in the engines -- aluminum 603 head and all.

I cant imagine there is any difference until you hit the afterglow plugs.

Dump the fuel.

Any idea how long it would take to replace the plugs in a w124? Do you have to pull the intake manifold to do it?

That would be a hoot! I tried an afterburner trick once on my BMW Boxer motorcycle. I figured if I accelerated up to about 75 in a 55 zone and held the throttle open about 1/3rd of a turn and hit my kill switch while leaving the bike in gear, I would turn the kill switch back on at 50 MPH.

Well! The bike popped up on the back wheel, laid a screetch of rubber and shot 6 foot flames out my sidepipes..... Looked really cool!

On a w124 it is quite an ordeal, well it depends how handy you can get with extensions and a universal, but if youre not super skilled you may want to take manifold out, recheck all the antivibration pieces on the fuel lines and change any that are broken or brittle while youre at it before you put it all back toguether.

I havent figured out a way to RR glows on W124 without intake removal.

And make damn sure you ream out the bores, or you will likely be doing all that again in 2 yrs max.
