Speedo question ?????
Ok, I searched and couldn't find the answer. I know it has been discussed before because I read it, but I can't find it.
How many pulses per mile do the MB 300SD speedos operate on? If I remember correctly, they are way different from domestic cars. I am getting ready to order gauges for my 53 F100 with the MB 617.951/722.303 trans and need to know if the speed sensor will be compatible or if I need to go to the driveshaft mounted sensor. Thanks, Jeff

I think the SD tach works off some sort of electronic gizmo thing, from the tranny.
