european model 190D

I own a Mercedes-Benz 190D that is currently listed in classifieds. I have owned this car for 5+ years and I am not too sure of the value. It was brought over from Germany in 85 and we have custom papers as well as service records for emissions conversion. It is a 4 speed diesel that gets over 35mpg. I have searched every where for another one like it for sale or anything and I cannot find one. Are they that rare in the US? We love the car but our family has outgrown it. We are still not completely convinced we want to sell it. It is in great shape for a car with 313,000 miles on it. Nada says about 3800 for low retail to over 7000 for high retail. What are they really worth? Does anyone on here have one or seen one around? Just curious.

Should be a 2 liter 601 vs the US only 2.2. Not common at all in the US.

not sure what to do

I should sell it but I dont want to. Anybody have a clue if my 2000 asking price reasonable? I dont think I could take less without being very sad. I am very attached but we have too many cars and need some quick cash

190d

I owned a 1984 Euro 190D with the 2.2 L engine for six years before a Blazer wiped out the frame. I got 37 mpg with it and had almost no trouble with it. I had approximately 316K miles when it was involved in the accident. It was written off by the insurance company at about $3,400 dollars 5 years ago. I would be interested in buying another one. Does yours have the 5-spd tranny?

yes cloth seats front seats currently have seat covers. Back seats look pretty good, front seats need a good cleaning and there is a tear on the side of the driver seat
