I got my roll aways at Sears when they were on a 50% off sale on scratch and dent items years ago. They were dented a little in the back and didn't show anyway. I popped the dents out with a rubber mallet and they looked like nothing ever happened.

That's a good idea. Not like it won't get scratched and dented after 3 days anyway.

I like it as much as my smaller Craftsman I got at Sears 20 years ago. Must have twenty five drawers in it too. So since I was having a birthday, I talked a good friend into going in 1/2 on it with me. ![]() |

For the average person, Craftsman is pretty hard to beat. I would recommend against the "homeowner" models, however.
If you are not in a big hurry, sign up for the Craftsman Club and wait for a sale. |

I've got a couple of Sears units that have served me well through the last few years. Full of Craftsman tools, too.

I've got Craftsman top and bottom boxes I bought 30 years ago. Just bought a Harbor Freight (or was it Northern??) two drawer to add between the two.

I've bought most of my appliances, a mower and tool boxes at the local Sears Outlet. The often have scratch and dents at big discounts, whether there is a sale or not. I don't have a rolling chest yet, but will pretty soon once I get my garage dumpstered out. Harbor Freight does have some good prices. I can't speak for quality since I've never seen one in person, but I don't know how big a difference that would be with a chest.

Hello Everyone ![]() I use those file cabinets meant for blueprints Where the drawers are about the same height as a standard toolbox, but they are 4 fee wide, and 4 feet deep. Love the things. And they are cheep!! A friend bought the ones I have at an auction for $10 each. They have 7 drawers each. When stacked 2 high the top is just about the same height as a kitchen counter. Makes a great work space on top. And I added casters to the bottom Have Fun Everyone !! RichC ![]() .

Get one good set for tools you use on every job. The ones that serve primarily as storage can be cheaper.

Those big rolling chests are hard to roll around. If you have tool storage and need portability, I suggest the rolling carts/workstation/utility cart (with drawers)

for less then $800 at costco you can get a huge stainless steel tool box. it has ball bearings in the drawer sliders. its better construction then the boxes at sears. the equivalent box at sears is around $1500 and those are painted steel not stainless.
sears went to Teflon coated drawer sliders instead of ball bearings and the drawers slide like crap.
