But the driver and the engine get to ride together in the front seat! You don't need a radio, because you can't hear it anyway above the racket from that finely tuned German diesel. Actually it might sound a lot like a VW bus without a muffler.

So, 50hp or so and a very non-aerodynamic design - can it even GET up to 60mph? I think this would be a great tour bus for a 60's tribute garage band, just so long as they would allow some extra hours to make it to their shows...

There's a guy somewhere in the NorthWest that specializes in parts for these things. (I've got his name and number somewhere) But the quickest supplier in my experience is http://www.eurocarparts.co.uk/ Their 'Commercials' division supplies parts. Patrick is the export guy the last time I talked to them. They ship DHL. Don't know much about shipping windshields.
They will send you a Commercial catalog but given the age of your van, I'd call them to see if they have the windshield in stock.
